WEB MARKETING... USEFUL ADVERTISING VENUE OR MONEY PIT?
So despite the economy's ups and downs, I still feel it is by far the best
and most cost-effective way to promote your business and reach your
potential customers, as long as you spread out your advertising purchases
among the many different types that are pertinent to your business needs
and most importantly, you have a yearly plan for advertising and not just
when you have a few extra bucks...
If you want someone to remember your name or your business, you have to be
in front of them on a year-round basis. Establishing your brand takes time
unless you have an unlimited ad budget. There are thousands of ad
opportunities out there on the web, unfortunately, the average business
owner does not know these exist.
We are here to change that...
"We Work The Web So You Don't Have To" not just another MEANINGLESS, CATCHY SLOGAN - it's our MISSION
STATEMENT.
Being on the inside of this industry has taught me many lessons about the
business world. Travesty's abound as multinational corporations and huge
advertising agencies are charging their clients millions of dollars for
ads that are totally worthless and not even targeted to the proper
audience.
They use terms like Paid Inclusion, Pop Unders, Pop Ups, Interstitials,
CPM, CPA and PPC (hey isn't that illegal?) and make it so confusing to the
client that they don't know what they are spending their money on or
whether it is working for them.

This is why we have added yet another service to our offerings AD
AUDITING/TRACKING. For a nominal fee, we will audit all of your online
advertising purchases. This includes making sure the order is online
within the time specified by the publisher, and to make sure it is 100%
accurate. We can even track how many times your ad was visited by unique
visitor, who initiates a request for more information or buys something, the only true measurement of your ROI and ad effectiveness.
Some firms provide you with how many impressions you received (how many
times your ad was displayed not clicked on) and give you that number. It
benefits them to tell you that you had 10,000 impressions (sounds
impressive indeed) vs. the actual 3 visitors that clicked on the link in
the ad from those 10,000 impressions. Statistics are a great thing - no
matter how you slice it, you can always make a negative a positive just by
altering the elements of an equation, altering a pie chart or building a huge spreadsheet that
nobody understands...but hey, it looks good right?
AUDITING YOUR ADVERTISING
Most of the time the data is accurate and ads are correct. Look the bottom
line is you want to get what you pay for and what you are willing to check
on.
Even if you are paying a few hundred dollars to a few hundred thousand,
you kind of want to know in advance that it needs to be correct especially
before your potential customers do...
The worst thing for me to see everyday is the way the that the
unsuspecting small business owners are double-talked and convinced to
spend money on ads or campaigns that will rarely, if ever, provide a
suitable return on investment for the money they have to spend.
Why does this happen? Lack of knowledge and ignorance. Most people I talk
to today have heard the buzzwords or use the techno speak as if it is a
second language to them, yet they know not of what they speak and it puts
a bull's-eye right on their wallet when the media salesman comes calling.
It's truly a shame how people waste money because their ego's get in the
way of sound business decisions.
That is one of the main reasons I am still around. I refuse to let people
get screwed because they don't know any better. My mission statement, if
you will, is simply this:
We Work The Web So You Don't Have To...
